Mao News - The 2012-2013 Season!

You're welcome zarina, and thank you back for thanking me.

I won't be able to translate much info in Jpn for a while from now on cause I've suddenly become busy a bit, plus I still have health problems...but you all care about Mao just the same as Mao fans in Jpn, so I hope someone else will be able to go on giving info from Jpn in this forum.

But anyway, I don't think Mao will be appearing much in public anymore until next season. She said she wants to take a break more than anything right now in another interview (in which she said she intends to retire after next season 'NOW' or 'AT THE MOMENT' so strongly than ever before...she's obviously trying her best to make it clear she hasn't reached any final decision on it yet...can't understand why so many people are still jumping to conclusions that she'll never change her mind in Jpn...they should just take her words as they actually are), and her team will probably shut out the media as much as possible so she can concentrate on preparing for next season as usual.

ETA:Btw, you already probably know this but our FB Mao group is planning to make a banner with messages printed on it in languages all participants use in their country. Alokya is in charge of the project and we're all hoping we can get many participants from various countries so we can let Mao know she has lots of supporters in the world. No need to have an FB account to join in. Just PM Alokya through this forum. The banner is planned to be hung in the audience in next season's JO and then given to Mao as a B-day present. If anybody wants to participate, you only need to write a short message in your native language and in Eng then send it to Alokya eventually, I suppose. Jpnse volunteers will translate them into Jpnse so Mao can understand what the messages mean. But right now, Alokya and some others who are the main staff of the project wants to know who and how many will be participating, so they can decide how large the banner should be. Hope you'd all consider joining.

Mao was awarded with JOC-cup today.
(To add: Mao has also been chosen as the "skater of the year" by Tokyo sports news reporters' club. This is the 2nd time she's awarded with this title, in 5 seasons.)

Also, Mao ranks No.3 in Icenetwork's "skaters of the year 12-13", just behind Tatiana/Maxim and Meryl/Charlie!
