Mai introduces the short documentary, and Shizuka interviews Mao.
I watched this yesterday already, the very young Mao is super cute and now she is a beautiful woman! Can you give a short translation of the interview with Shizuka?

Sorry I wasn't able to provide the translation. But I just noticed that a MsMichiganian has provided some translation just in the comment section.
There is a cute moment when Shizuka welcomes Mao at the beginning of the interview, Shiz says: "It feels funny, doesn't it" to Mao, and Mao answers "yes" back.
I like the fact that Mao talks about how she has changed her practice routine. So now she no longer practices everyday like in her teens and takes rest. It's nice that Coach Sato insists on this so Mao doesn't get overtrained.
Then Mao gives her explanation why she picks Rach2 during her last Oly season. (I think other than the explanations she provided in the interview, Mao also mentions in other places that it was because Midori Ito has skated to Rach in Oly before)
The last part about Mao saying she can hear ppl cheering for her before skating is also ...she says she sometimes hear certain male voice shouting "Mao you can do it!" Then she tells herself "yes I can do it!"

M “Well, I needed to force myself to take one day off when I was 19.” S “Really? Wanted to practice more?” M “Because in my teen age years I’d never taken a day off, so when I was first told I needed to take one day off a week from Sensei(coach Sato), I was worried if it is really ok or I wanted to practice more

After getting to the page, in the box at the middle of the page: 1. "種目" -- this is where you pick the categories of competitors [男子シングル] -- men's single [女子シングル] -- ladies' single [ペア] -- pair [アイスダンス] -- ice dance 2. "応援する選手・ペア" -- once you picked the category in '1', here it automatically provides a list of names of the competitors in that category. To pick the competitors who you want to leave the supporting message for, I'd suggest using http://www1.nhk.or.jp/sports2/figure/#top_entries_pre to find the corresponding name in Kanji or katakana. 3. "応援メッセージ" -- where you leave your message, with characters limitation of 200. 4. "お住まいの都道府県" -- where you live: scroll down the list and find "海外", which means oversea (unless you're from one of the local providences!) 5. "年代" -- to pick your age range 6. "性別" -- to pick either '男性' male/ '女性' female
When everything is done, press "送信" bottom on the left, and your message will be submitted.
Enjoy!

Thank you COHK. For the first time I can understand what the website is saying Zijun's name is 李子君. How do Japanese people pronounce her name?
It seems like the NHK organizers do their job very well, except for the tickets

NHK's sports reports on Mao: 浅田真央(mao asada) GPシリーズNHK杯に向けて
Junko Yaginuma is invited to talk about Mao. She talks about how the 3A jump is different from the past. Also, Mao has been taking ballet lessons since last year.

How is Mao's axel different from Vancouver? More speed and wider coverage? She looks so light and airy when doing ballet.

She doesn't bend quite so low before going into her Axel. And that allows her enough speed to do the 31/2 rotation. She rarely UR now. That's why she gets her jumps ratified, even if it's 2footed.

Yep. that should be Japan time. Why does it have to start soooo early? I'm gonna miss Pairs and Men! Oh wait, this is in Japan so usually there's no live coverage here but are there gonna streams from Russia, British Eurosport and others?
