Hm, V/T got 83.79 They were great, but not perfect.
Can Russia win the team event without V/T competing in the LP? I think V/T said they'll only do SP, since the pairs event starts two days after the end of the team event, so it would be too close.
Japan might make it to the LP if Mao wins and the Reeds do great, but it's going to be close.

How many teams make it to the long?
Top 5.
Hmm I was actually thinking Japan would take a bigger hit after pairs... Takahashi/Kihara are their weakest link. China is high now, but they will go down after dance, and Zijun is strong, but not strong enough for top 3... China and USA are likely to switch places after the SP is done, Italy should move up too, especially if Kostner skates the SP...
Can the Reeds beat Great Britain, Ukraine and Germany? If so, I think Japan might be 5th.
One judge marked Plushy's Transitions / Linking Footwork / Movement 4.50 I watched his performance and noticed it lacked transitions but this is not novice competition And there are three judges who marked 9s for the same component

Yuzuru skated better at GPF so for me the 97 was ok here. Anyway that's already quite a lead over Plushy coz I think we were expecting he'll get higher than what he got. And Chan, don't let Plushy distract you too much ok? hehe... He could have easily scored way higher than PLushy's 91 but nope... less than Plushy and didn't crack 90.
I hope the ladies and Tatsuki can pull up team Japan's scores.
"I did not see Plushenko; I put my music on and try to stay focused on my own world, as opposed to someone else's," he said. "Ninety-one is a good score, but I've seen it before; it's nothing special. I've seen 97 (Hanyu's score) before, too, so I'm not concerned with that, either."
I wonder what BOrser told them in the KnC and Mao and Akiko laughed after... It feels quite odd seeing him in Team Japan KnC and then there's Mao and Akiko at the back...

Mao & Akiko wondering "What happened with Yuzu's Pooh? Why he exchanged it with this big Matryoshka doll?"
I suppose Orser flattered Mao before the Japanese press because he knew he would share K&C with her.
Uhhh... this? "She has also landed quadruple Axels in practice, but she has never attempted one in competition." <<-- I have never heard of this before

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I read that line. I'm gonna need to see some video evidence before I belive this one.
