| I know this is quite a bit after the fact since GP assignments were announced almost a week ago. But I just read somewhere that COR will be in the very rink the olympics will be on, so I was thinking it would be good if Mao could have gotten that assignment. Not that it's a big deal, but I just thought it would be nice... I also just got around to reading this article. I know most of you hate him, but it's a pretty informative article: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/globetrotting/chi-grand-prix-skate-gold-to-debut-in-canada-20120521,0,7208375.columnIt talks about Alissa's injury, and explains how GP assignments are chosen in case you were wondering what the heck is going on with the assignments for US ladies. It also mentions that Evan may return if he resolves his issues with USFA. Issues? I didn't know there were any issues. Hm. More tidbits in article also. | |

So Mao needs to qualify for GPF and then she will be skating at the Olympic arena.

| wow this will be interesting and nerveracking to see what tat will do this time, i just hope that if tat makes something that doesn't work she will change it, with a different choreographer... god how i hoped Mao was considering other choreographers soooo many great ones out there why limit oneself only two those two | |

| shikure, thank you for these wonderful pics! I know I'm repeating myself, but Mao looks stunning! I love this colour on her, and she looks so pretty with her hair down. I was hoping, she would change her choreographers, but like you said, at least she's not using Morozov. But I was so hoping she'd go to Camerlengo, Miyamoto or Dickson. - polosatik wrote:

| Noooo!!! Why Tat? I'm not a fan of Tat's music cuts for her competitive programs. Why, Mao? Why?!?! I wanted to see her skating to another choreographer's choreo and see what they come up with. OTOH, thanks for the pics, shikure! Mao looks healthier and so grown up now. So beautiful! | |

| OMG!!! What a Goddess!!!!!!!!! I may be the only one who is not sad about Mao's choice. To me Lori is much better at making SP, so I'm looking forward to it. It seems it's like Mao's sing sing EX in 2008. Closer to Sochi, judges will start appreciating programs in Russian style, so don't worry, Mao is doing right thing I think last time PCS depend too much on the brand choreo, Camerlengo, Wilson etc. I personally don't like Camerlengo work with ladies. TAT has more free time now and last year's Scheherazade was stunning! | |

| At first, I'm going to complain about TAT, but I just realized that this is much better than Morozov. So no complain. | |

Thanks kenkyo! I would like to know what Mao is saying here too And it does seem like a recent practice bit, does it mean that Mao had an open practice recently?

| Gosh, I hate her beige boots - if she wears them, she'd better be going back to over-the-boot tights. White boots look so much more professional, somehow. I like her OTB style because it elongates her legs and makes her lines more pronounced. But if she chooses not to do that... agh!! I sincerely hope that that is an old clip, not a recent one. It's hard to tell, though, because she wears that pink sweater ALL the time. | |

| Why? , really, and why nobody in interviews ask her why she doesn´t use another coreographer??? ok, a theory is may be she already get work with other coreographers but it doesn´t work, then before to publicy she leave it, because -i know once she get a morozov coreography, right? but she didn´t use it. and yes, she looks completly beautiful. | |

| Thank you all, especially shikure, for all updates! Mao looks so pretty in all her latest appearances! She even looks like a Disney princess in this blue dress! I would also appreciate it, if somebody could translate some tidbits from the talk show with Mao. What turned out to be Taka's secret?? Also Mao was laughing there a lot, so I guess most of the stuff there must have been funny - chapis wrote:

My guess is that Mao likes both Lori and Tat, feels comfortable while working with them and she also must like final choreos. So if, in her opinion, everything works just fine - why change it? I remember that once Taka has been asked why he doesn't work with Kenji Miyamoto anymore. And he answered that he is just "not his type of choerographer" or something like that. Maybe both Mao and Taka must feel comfortable in everything they do, and they don't want to take such risks? That's just my guess of course. I would also like to see Mao work with eg. Camerlengo or Miyamoto, maybe in the future she will ...

| I'm also a bit disappointed she doesn't want to try something new. On the other hand liebestraum & Scheherazade were really well choreographed programs... Maybeit wasn't so baddecision | |
