Is anyone from this forum going to watch the show or have seen the show before?
I'm here in Japan right now, so I'm thinking of watching the one in Osaka

Could anyone give some advice on how to buy tickets and select good seats?

I have tickets for two shows in Osaka on 28th. I will come there from Tokyo, and I chose Osaka because I like Kansai more than Chubu. I don't know if you have a chance to "choose" tickets. I am afraid a good deal of tickets have been already sold out by now. You can buy tickets in a convenience store, like 7/11 or Family Mart. The machine automatically will give the best seats that are available at that moment.

actually i decided to buy tickets 1 week after I posted this thread
i bought my ticket in 7/11, and at that time, arena tickets were already sold out.
so i settled for stand S area.

wow, you'll watch 2 shows!
is there a difference in the performances in the morning & afternoon show.
i'll also be watching the show on 28th, but only the afternoon show.

if it's ok with you maybe we could meet before the show?
i'm sooooo excited to see Mao and Taka

Oops, I didn't look at the date and assumed that the post was new. Lol at me! .

I have no idea if there will be any difference between morning and afternoon shows. Some skaters sometimes perform different programs when they have two shows a day. Many people often bring blankets to cover laps, but I never do it. I like when it's cool, especially after a hot humid weather that we will definitely have at the end of July in Osaka, the cool arena will look like a paradise ! Who will want a blanket! Not me, surely. About the meeting I think we can take it to private message closer to the date. And yeah, I am dying to see Maozuka too!

As "The Ice" has never been held in Kanto area including Tokyo
until this time and the Arena's capacity is only 2,000 people,
all the seats were sold out in a first few minutes!
So I was very lucky to get one.

Also Nikko is much more comfortable place to stay than Nagoya
or Osaka in summer and has some beautiful nature such as
highlands, lakes, waterfalls and hotsprings ...etc. aside from
World Heritage shrines and temple.
I can't wait to go there again and
I believe the skaters will enjoy staying in Nikko, too.

I envy you guys, so much!

You are right about the picturesque Nikko. But there is one "but"- they have only one show a day, not two like in Nagoya and Osaka, so I chose not Nikko. But I think tickets are sold out already for all shows. You will see the show eariler than us, so please come with the report!

seriously i sooo envy you guys for getting the chance to watch Mao live, it's THE biggest dream of me... hope you guys will give a full report of everything from the jumps to every detail..

Yes, I agree, and the thing that makes this off-season so horrible is that we read something about practically every top-level female skater (YuNa coming back, Kostner chooses to compete until Sochi, Czisny under surgery, interviews with Tuktamysheva, Leonova, Gold, Ando, Suzuki...) except Mao!! I really hope this show will reveal us something about her summer preparation, even if I dont' know what

Same here. The lack of news is killing me when the shows are so near. We get updates on the other Japanese skaters but barely anything about Mao! I hope the wait will be all worth it.

from TV interview, Mai said when she met Taka and Mao, both of them said they will skate to their new EX in the ice.
from twitter, the ladies' number is beautiful and sounds like jeff made new group number for guys. Taka's comment is "yabai"--> and harder than prior year one LOL
