Dai! why aren't you holding Mao's luggage ?? (like Taka does to Mao)
I also would like to see Mao's 3-3 again, even more when I see other skaters doing it. Can someone tell me what are the exact reasons Mao is no longer including 3-3 in the programs ? is it because she gets UR ? For me, Mao's jumps look the same as in the old time but is it that she's not rotating as fast as she used to, or that she's not jumping as high as she used to ? if so, what are those reasons? Ok this is a stupid question I know but she did show us her 3-3 in one of her show and it looked fine to me. Kids rotates faster then older girls, so now Mao rotations are slower. This is the reason why Caroline could rotate her jumps and also this is why I think Julia won't be able to land her jumps in next two years.

Eurosport2 is broadcasting? I've just checked the TV guide and according to it, Eurosport2 is showing GP on friday at 22.30 CET (but I have no idea what). Good news is that Eurosport is broadcasting the ladies free live on saturday at 9.30 CET.

If your prediction is true, then Yulia is going to be in a lot of trouble at Olympics. She'll turn 15 in june, so she's about to hit the "growth spurt". We saw what this did to Adelina and Liza, add Yulia's already tiny jumps to that... - ballerinamao wrote:

There are usually live streams posted at Goldenskate, but not all work for everyone. I wish Eurosport would show skating the way they show every freaking game in tennis.

| i agree it's soo frustrating when one of the most important gp for me is only shown half way. each competition Mao attend is a MUST see live and it just bothers me soo much, when they skip the sp or fs. I mean i can live with not seeing the gala live. but has anyone heard of a competition in other sports that only gets half shown? no, cause there isn't, i really don't understand why they think they have the right to do it in figure skating. anyway PLEASE if anyone finds any live stream when the competition beginns please post it, i will also do my out most to find any links! | |

From the spin clip this should be from her SP... It looks like she's trying the FCSp, a lot of skaters (Zhang, Murakami, Leonova, lipnitskaya, Gold...) are now doing it, and just because of the 0.2 higher BV!

| From practice reports it seemed Mao will be doing 3f-2lo,3loop and 2 a in her short. Also she tried 2a-3t,3s,2f-2lo-2lo(tano),3f-2lo,3lo and then she did a couple of 1a,dunno she was trying to do a triple or just practicing her entrance, everything was clean,no 3-3. | |

I automatically assumed since I can't remember her doing that in swan lake. If Mao is looking tired during practice, I hope she'll be able to have proper rest tonight. I'm starting to worry. And I hope she nails her jumps (well, might be too much to hope for proper lutz right now). That 3F in her last combo at JO looked iffy from the start that I was surprised she still went to tack on 2 x 2Lo after it even though they're all deemed UR. At least that combo didn't get DG marks.

Thanks for the practice news. I was expecting this jump layout in the SP, though to be honest, I was hoping for a 3-3. I know she had to rework a lot of stuff, and it's soon for a 3-3 but I'm affraid that she'll need it for GPF (I hope so much she'll qualify) and especially for 4CC and Worlds. But for now I just can't wait to see her skate! - ballerinamao wrote:

Same here. I was hoping for a 3-3: 2A, 3F+3T and 3Lo. Guess that won't be happening soon. Nvm, so long as Mao skates clean tomorrow. That's what matters.

| I don't know how I'll be able to watch, especially since we're changing the time this weekend here... I'll be all confused again Glad to hear Mao is doing well. I hope she keeps having stable practices so she can feel good going into the SP. I like the happy looking choreo between her 2 spins. It really is just a tidbit, but I have hight hopes that this program will be fast and high in energy. Mao pulled it off countless of times during her Ex programs so it's high time she shows that on competitive ice! Actually, I'm quite happy with Mao's current SP layout this early in the season. She hasn't skated it in competition yet and it's a theme she hasn't done before. Let her get used to the choreo and the rythm of the program before adding even more information. It might mean nothing, but since the 2A was mentionned last, can we assume she is not opening with it? Which means no 3A in the SP this season? That would be good... To me, it means we have a lot more chances of seeing a 3-3 from her later in the season. | |
