Good score for Dai, though, due to his amazing performance. So... Yuzuru, Dai, and Javi. This is going to be a fun battle tomorrow!

Hi, may I know when the ladies short is starting?

Alokya I can't wait for tomorrow! I so hope Yuzu will manage to hold on to the lead, and Javi will manage to get silver (I adore his long program).

If you are in the US, it starts at 5:15 a.m. Eastern Time as a reference. I think that that is GMT -4 hours, if that is a better reference for you.

I agree, and if they find a way for him to overcome stamina issues due to asthma, then Patrick is going to be in serious trouble, imo.

Dai's step sequence is fabulous. There is no current male skaters who can dance to that drum beat but Dai. He looked hesitated before 4T which is probably because he's working on form change. Hope he will achieve it by worlds.

Hahaha! But, isn't it exciting to see those fabulous male skaters keep competing head to head with great skating skills and quads towards Olympics? When I think about Dai, my heart feels pain for anxiety but I'm sure he will regain quad and remain among strong contenders.

I honestly think it's only a matter of time before Patrick Chan implodes. Michelle Kwan learned the hard way that you MUST have a figure skating coach, which he doesn't have right now.

I am hoping against hope that the reason why Yuzuru bombed his free skate in the US was due to that awful fall during practice. At this point, I hope he wins.

Yuzuru is just unbelievable! And I noticed he managed to catch his breath more faster than when he finishied skating his SP in SA...big relief for me. I think he must've worked on his stamina matters after SA a bit. I'm guessing that he won't have a melt down, at least as not as badly as he had in SA for his FP. But still, when they interviewed him backstage after his performance, it did seem like he was having a bit trouble breathing. It was just a bit, but when you compared his interview with Dai's interview right after his performance, it was clear that Yuzuru was more exhausted than Dai.

I was pretty much worried how Dai would do after Yuzuru...and I guess I was right to be worried when I saw his jumps. His combo was okay, but I felt it lacked a bit flow. However, with jumps and spins aside (which Dai mentioned in his interview that he wasn't satisfied with them), his steps were brilliant and I felt he was getting back to his usual self compared to COC. It seems Dai felt the same, and he said in his interview that although he made mistakes here and there, overall he felt he improved much more than when he was at COC and that he's happy about it.

Javi did great too...but he seemed a bit stiff compared to Dai, and very stiff compared to Yuzuru. Yuzuru isn't any Julia; he's not extremely flexible in any way as if he were doing acrobatics. But his whole body moves like a cat. Soft, light but speedy. His jumps are high and wide, plus he manages quiet landings like Nobu with soft knees.

Ladies will be starting in minutes...I'll have to move back to my tv since NHK is airing it live...Hurray for NHK! They always air NHK Cup live with no irritating commercials in between!

Yeah, but even when Chan implodes, he still somehow finds himself on the podium, most of the time with gold medal around his neck.

I agree about Yuzu, I hope as well, that the fall was the reason for his bad long program at SA, but the poor guy nearly fainted at the end. But if you compare his looks after the short program at SA and here, he looks to be in much better shape here than at SA, so I do think that's a good sign for tomorrow. Go Yuzu, get some high scores tomorrow!

Eurosport2 is just showing Ashley's posing from TEB, hopefully it'll be over soon and they'll switch to NHK.
