Is there any Mao documentary on Youtube? I searched for that but all I saw was a bunch of Mao slamming clips. Yesterday I watch a Yuna documentary and was moved to tears. Passion sure is very expensive, and I admire both Yuna and Mao for fighting against all odds.

Welcome to the olympic season, with Yuna "queen's" ( ) return. The bots are out in full force. You want to vomit? Go to the Ice channel and read many sick and hurtful comments under Mao's SP clip. The sad thing is, that people posting this, are giving a bad name to Yuna fans, the same goes for all the slamming comments on Yuna's clips. Those aren't from Mao fans, but from the "Mao bots". Yet, every Mao fan gets a bad rep because of it.
I don't know whether japanese TV did any documentaries on Mao at all. There were some done on Dai and Yuzu though. I wish they'd do one on Mao.

I'm so sick of Carmen. There're many good choices out there, can't they come up with something more original?Leonova's career has gone downhill since working with Morozov. A great coach can make a big difference in the career of every athlete, not just skater. For instance, I think Mirai made a huge mistake of leaving Caroll. I still can't get over the face that Mao's coach didn't correct her jumping techniques when she was young. That could have made her life a lot easier.
Tell me about it. I hope this is the LAST Carmen program. What is it with the Olympics and Carmen? Well on the positive side, so many skaters have left Morozov, that now he might actually spend some time with Alena. He might feel, that he has something to prove.
While I absolutely agree with you that a great coach can make a big difference, however this can ONLY happen when a skater cooperates. You can end up with the best coach of all time, but if you don't put in the hard work and follow your coach's instructions, you can honestly end up with a God himself for your coach, it won't do you any good, result wise. Not working hard and messing around = bad international result and /or, not qualifying on the national team. I still believe that there was more going on between Mirai and Frank that either one is admitting. I love Mirai, but it was a known fact that she's not the hardest of workers... Frank doesn't deal well with skaters who aren't putting in the work.
I just find this sentence from the interview funny: "...The physical acting is to sort of have that emotion where it seems genuine." Why not just perform from the genuineness to let the emotion flow from her heart?
Phil Hersh just tweeted that Gracie Gold is going to work with Frank Caroll. Her coach was shocked and disappointed as she didn't give any reason. She just said that she didn't want to work with him anymore. Is she in a pre-Oly anxiety? This is getting juicy. I'm not familiar with Kanako's music choices.
I really like the design of Meryl's Scheherazade dress! I'm not sure about the shade though...perhaps it would be nicer in a bolder colour, but the video quality wasn't the best so maybe it'll look nicer when the networks broadcast it. The program looks great! It looks like one of their more difficult programs...I'll be rooting for them!

Yea, that was terrible. She looked she was just flapping her arms and twirling around all crazy like before doing sloppy jumps. She needs a new format fast.

It may be because of poor streaming quality. It seems dropped frames even worsened the look of her arm movements. I wonder what happened with her jumps.
D&W I already like both the programs and I'm so excited too because I'm sure they will make improvements from the current level at the beginning of season over coming months towards Sochi.

People on Twitter seemed to be okay with the SP. They said that her artistry has imrproved thanks to Zueva. What we see on the video may be very different from seeing live. Her arm movement makes me feel dizzy. :confused:Her boots were broken before the competition, but they said they were fixed nicely.
Gracie Gold: Although it wasn't my best, I was proud of my fight. It will only go up from here. Thanks to all of my supports and haters

I'm not familiar with Kanako's music either, I hope that her programs are going to be great.
Gracie will have a tryout with Frank next or this coming week, to see if they're compatible. So no fixed coach has been decided yet. I don't know what happened, but something at Champs camp must freaked her out, because she left Ouriashev (sp?) immediately after the camp has ended. Do I smell USFSA hand in this? Yep. But then again who knows what's really going between coaches and their skaters, behind the scenes. Just because they look cozy on pictures and in the K&C it doesn't mean that it's reality. Figure skating is such a soap opera, I just wish that everything wouldn't be kept so freaking private. I'd love me some drama.
@let's talk, I hate Gracies SP, and I'm not too fond of Sleeping Beauty either. I honestly don't know, what the heck was Marina thinking. This is not Gracie. She's a power skater with almost zero musicality, not some pretty princess (though she is a very beautiful girl). Marina should highlight her strength, not her weaknesses. And olympic season is not the time to experiment! No wonder team Gold is panicking. If she's trully going to Frank I hope he'll get rid of her programs ASAP.
OMG, OMG, OMG I LOVE THIS! Their SD is just amazing, and their first lift in the FD I can't wait to see their FD at olympics after 4 more months of working on it. I love the design of her Scherezade costume, but like sapphiresky, I hope that in Sochi she'll be wearing a bold colour. Then she'll look to die for. Oh man, I can't wait for a D/W & V/M showdown. Go Merly&Charlie!

Here is Adelina's SP from 1st Russian Cup in Perm. I wish she'd switch to 3Lu-3T, her current combo with 3Lo as her second jump will get downgraded for sure.
She's wearing her training outfit no costume yet. I wonder what are the rules about costumes at B internationals and domestic competitions.

Adelina showed her Carmen costume to public in Mao's THE ICE: http://twitpic.com/da9d9b . But since then she never wore it again, neither in Open Test Skate nor in Russian Cup. I assume they're gonna change it.

It's not like she's going to be a medal contender, so switching to Frank might be smart move. She can wait until 2018. She has zero musicality and artistry, but if an artistic skater can upgrades her jumps, then a power skater can improve her artistry (hopefully) as well. I don't expect her to be of Sasha's artistry level, but it can only get better.

I am now convinced, even with better music, this girl just doesn't have any grace. Pity, with a name like Gracie Gold, she's the exact opposite of her name. And I've seen enough programs of hers this past season to know that most of her performances consist of her skating very fast, and flailing her arms sloppily. So no, the "it looks worse because of poor streaming quality" doesn't cut it with me. Sounds like ppl are making excuses for her. This girl is just not good.

Oh listen to how humble GG is though:
........ I have no words for this girl. Her interviewing skills leave me speechless.

I tried to defend her before but after watching her LP, I have to admit that she had zero artistry. Why do the American seem to be all over her? I didn't see any bad review on Twitter. Even Ashley Wagner has a better shot at the podium than her. Mirai on a good day can outperform her, but that's another story. I also followed her Twitter and she seemed to be a spoiled brat. Her boyfriend comes across as being much more articulate and interesting.

Max Aaron is like a puppy xD Also GG is a spoiled brat and a lot of other things that I will not discuss here. I can say that she is fooling a lot of people with that innocent girl act of hers though. As far as I know she is letting this hype get to her head, (she is her biggest fan after all) and she believes that she deserves better coaching (which clearly isn't the case since it was her old coach who got her this far) but oh well. I don't see her as being a threat anytime soon, or ever and when she gets higher PCs than Kanako I just have to shake my head.
