- Is this a joke? For God's sake Gracie is ANYTHING but a ballerina. programs like this work perfectly for Mao and I adored Zijun's Sleeping beauty, cause they're both a "ballerina" type of skater, Gracie on the other hand isn't. It's like giving Ashley a Nutcracker. I know Ash skated to a Black swan, but it worked (though not in my eyes), because she didn't go for a ballet, but for a movie story. Gracie on the other hand had difficulty portraying "Life is beautiful", how the heck is she going to pull off this ballet?!
Max is doing Carmen?!!! Really?!!! Max?!!! For the love of God, he can only jump, there's nothing else there, how is going to pull this off?! I mean seriously?! WTH is Zakrajsek thinking? This is going to be worse than Evan's version. I wish ISU would forbid Carmen programs in Olympic season. And he's shooting for Oly's gold? Sweetie, you can have 10 quads in your program, you're still not going to beat Chan. (though I do have a tiny hope that Javi will somehow manage to steal the gold from everyone else ) Judges better give Max the PCS he actually deserve, not what USFSA think he should be getting. Lest we forget.

| Meanwhile, Ge says he has choreographed his own programs for next season, although he is keeping mum about the music. All he would tell us is that the free skate will be "serious," unlike last year's comic Charlie Chaplin program.

SP: Chopin Nocturne No.2 E-flat major Op.9-2 FS: Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto Has this been confirmed or os it just a rumour? I don't really know what to say...I was hoping for something different to be honest. I like Chopin and I hope Lori will give it her all and make it a masterpiece, but personally, if she skated to something like Por Una Cabeza as her SP, I'd just die. I really, really hope we'll see a choreography of "Carolina calibre". As for Rachmaninoff, I love to listen to this concerto, but as an Olympic FS, I'm not so sure. This piece has been done to death already. There are SO MANY Russian composers to choose from, why did TAT choose the most used one? Honestly, don't hate me, but sometimes I really think TAT is running out of ideas. Of course it's a beautiful piece of music, so yes it can be a masterpiece (I'm hoping it will be), but I was hoping for something less frequently used. And this is a second program that TAT gave to Mao, that she also choreographed for Sasha, when she was her student. Anyhow, here's to Mao having two amazing masterpieces for her Oly's programs ( ) and rocking an entire season! Go Mao! And please don't let TAT anywhere near your costume designers. - COHK wrote:

| What you don't want another exploded cotton candy factory or red ruffled confection for Mao? Heaven forbid we see more costumes like those competition tango ones or the World's Scheherazade dress (the original Scheherazade outfit is still one of my favourites of Mao's). | |

Stop scaring me! Seriously, the only reason why I don't like Mao going to TAT for choreo is because TAT almost always gives hideous costumes to Mao. I wish TAT would just stick to choreography and butt out of costume ideas/designing. I loved the original Scherezade costume, almost exactly the same as used in ballet.

Yes, Nathalie is playing the rose. The guy helping them is a mime and from what they're saying, he gave them one word for different part of the program, and they have to interpret that.

Well, what surprised me was that he announced it after the GP assignments were released. He didn't get any, right? I don't think he gets much support. Its just too bad coz when he's on and lands his jumps they're really good. Best of luck to him. i can understand he won't have much time to do skating or anything at all if he's gonna be a full time CS student. CS students barely have any life with all the projects/courseworks/assignments. hehe... well, that's based on my experience anyway.

Her FS will be music from Coppélia.
At first I feared that Zijun might be stuck with two recycled Mirai programs from Lori (Danzarin was Mirai's 2011-2012 SP and Coppélia her 2007-2008 FS), but after watching the SP, I think there is much potential for a memorable program. I can't wait to see her SP at the competition, it looks promising. I'll have to go back and see Mirai's version to see how much (if anything) she changed. Is Coppelia also done by Lori? I think it's a great program for my lovely Zijun (I'm seriously crazy about this girl ), but I'm not comfortable with the idea of another Lori's recycle, to be honest... And I love the Sound of Music; the music part, the choreography... not so much. I can't wait for the competitive season to start, to see all of these programs and costumes! Hopefully Mao will have stunning costumes for both of her programs.

| ^The Coppelia FS is also choreographed by Lori. I feel the same way about not feeling comfortable with the fact that Lori recycles music and programs over and over, but I think that it will be beautiful nomatter what, since it's Zijun I am already so nervous and excited for GP season | |

| ^It isn't fair of me to critisize Lori's programs before even seeing them, but with all of these recycling going on, if I were one of these skaters, I'd be pretty pissed paying big bucks (let's be honest Lori is anything but cheap) for programs that have been used by others skaters. And like you, i'm also excited and sooo nervous for GP season. i can't wait to see mao's programs but I'm also nervous thinking how she'll do. I seriously don't know how the heck am I going to survive this season without a nervous break down. | |

I read somewhere that Carolina Kostner stated she paid something like 10000 Italian Lire per program but I don't know how legit this is. About the nervous breakdown part me too!!! I don't know how I'm gonna react to Mao's impending retirement plans Which skater am I gonna start following after Mao retires??? (if she retires).

| ^ Do you mean 10000 Euros? 10000 italian lire (their currency before they switched to euros) was never worth much. I don't know how much Lori is charging, however considering that she's one of the biggest names in FS choreography bussiness, I'd say 10000 euros would be about right. I heard a rumour that David Wilson is charging 20000$ for a free program, don't know however if this is true. I feel like such a dork, but I have a problem with quoting other poster's posts. Whenever I want to reply to them by quoting, the only option I'm given is to write in to their posts (in to the quote bracket). I don't know if it's my computer's fault or if I'm really an idiot (quite possibly:oops:), but I would really appreciate some help. | |
