Actually, I just came back from School in time to see Joannie's SP ... she didn't skate her best. 1A, 3F-3T<, 3Lz (fall), she's in second place behind Cynthia Phaneuf.

Weird to see Joannie in 2nd. So it looks like Japan isn't the only Nats cracking down on underrotation and the like. This is certainly very interesting to observe...something tells me the same won't be happening for the U.S. though (next week!), where I'm fairly sure we'll see the usual lenient judging standard for Nats.

Yay for V/M! Very Happy

OMG Unconscious

I admit I've never been a fan of Mira but that's gotta be painful. 6th?! Ouch! Oh well... she's been in need of a wake-up call. I just hope this does the job. I know Joannie can give it her all in the Free, but I'd like Cynthia to do good as well. It would be great for her confidence.

GO GIRLS!!

And here... Men's SP

1 Patrick Chan 88.89
2 Vaughn Chipeur 71.89
3 Kevin Reynolds 70.00
4 Jeremy Ten 69.06
5 Joey Russell 68.27
6 Shawn Sawyer 66.88
7 Elladj Baldé 65.02
8 Ian Martinez 62.51
9 Ken Rose 60.82
10 Jean-Simon Légaré 60.40
11 Paul Poirier 58.12
12 Fedor Andreev 56.68
13 Gary Wong 55.15
14 Maxime-Billy Fortin 54.69
15 Louis-Philippe Sirois 54.07
16 Matthew Penasse 48.13
17 Brennan Martin 38.32

88.89!!!!! Yikes!!!

Here are the protocols... just HUGE!

Just a little side comment: I just saw Tessa and Scott's OD... and... there are no words really. Their lifts are fantastic, quick and have that surprise factor that just makes you go WOW!, the spin is intricate and will only get better with practice and the overall program is just really fast, fun and enjoyable. There are so many little details! This is by far (note that I might not be very objective) my favourite OD of the season. Can't wait for the FD Boogie

Tessa & Scott OD:
http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=r0lGu9APQIY

I love it! My favorite OD this season! Love Hearts Love Hearts Love Hearts
There were a few glitches; the spin was a bit unsteady, the final lift could be more smooth and the speed could be better. I'm sure, though, that before Worlds Tessa and Scott will improve in all those areas. They were unbelievably good considering how little time they had to prepare for Nationals! Yep!
All the element were very innovative and just wow! V/M are one of those skaters who seem to thrive under CoP. Its like they wanted to say with their skating: "What do you mean CoP limits creativity in ice dance? You just need to know how to work it!" Cheering

Can't wait to see the free dance! Happy dance

I really loved V/M's programs! There were a few glitches in the free dance, but I was very, very impressed. Thumbs up!

I wonder if they will skate at 4CC? On one hand, they need some internationel exposure... But they would have to skate Finnstep there, which (AFAIK) they have never skated, as it's a new compulsory. Mastering it will be probably very difficult in such a short time...

Congrats to all of the medalists! Daisies for you
