Here's a video of Mao's LP at TEB set to the original piano version of the Prelude:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPL33zP1Etw

I actually think it fits in quite wonderfully with Mao's program. But there's no way to tell if it'll sound the same in real-life as it does when super-imposed on the video.

Thank you for this, chineseteacup! flower I love the piano version, and I think Mao is so wonderful with skating to piano music that she would make this program SO gorgeous.

I have two ideas: Too sweet!

1. She could skate to this, just the piano version, and change the choreography a bit; make it more subtle and flowing. The costume could be grey, perhaps with silver, white, or blue tones, to emulate a cold night in Russia.

2. Mao's LP music could START with the piano music and build to an orchestration. It would start off haunting and minimal (and so would the choreography), and then evolve into the grand chords and power of the main theme she's using now (she would have the same step sequence, and it would end up being the highlighted by the music cheers). Perhaps the costume could be grey and black, or her blue and black costume from JO.

Just some silly ideas on this cold Thursday morning. :albino:

It seems for me that Tat is going to change Sp and not the whole Lp but some parts of it, let's see what will be Mao's reaction Too sweet! But what I think will be for sure is new jumping specialist, because Mao need someone who can control her jumping every day)

It seems to me that having an amalgamation of the piano and orchestral versions of the Prelude really might make the piece more dynamic.

If only TAT or Mao would frequent this forum and see all these suggestions. Sad

Tat said that she will change some of elements in Lp, and what worried her the most is Mao's psychology, she wanted to find her a good psychologist but she can't because everything is in JSF power Very Mad

Jeff Buttle's bells of moscow program looks out of place. Like the footwork should be centered on the really heavy chords, which will maximize any effect and expression of his footwork.

btw, if anyone wants to have this sheet music feel free to contact me Laughing . I'm trying to learn this piece lol...along with Masquerade Waltz and Clair De Lune Razz

@ will_power - do you have the sheet music for Masquerade Waltz for a single piano player? I've only got the duet arrangement, so I have to drag my friend over everytime I want to play it Sad, Lonely

I'm learning the Prelude too! Well, self-teaching, since I no longer have a teacher. I'm only up to the fifth line Sad
