Four Continents

Wow, I was just thinking "Hm, now that nationals is all finally over, I know that 4 continents is right around the corner. I forget when they are exactly..." So I googled 4C, and saw on wikipedia that they start in just three days! Well actually, they officially start tomorrow, but according to wikipedia, the skating actually starts on the 27th. Wow, that's really close for US ice dancers, and ladies!

Too bad neither NBC or CBC are airing this competition this year. Again.

Can't wait to see Mao skate! I know she's got this one in the bag.

Miki and Mao go there both, do they? I really cant wait! Im so exited and hope Mao will repeat her awesome performence from the jap. nationals!

Since it's in Korea, her staff is taking extra precautions to take care of her. (Glad to hear that!)

Yeah, I was shocked when I was reading an article about US Nationals and it mentioned that 4CC starts a couple days afterwards. I guess I was expecting it to start next week or something. In any case, I'm so excited!

Speaking of the US ladies, though, does anyone know which US ladies are going/have they announced that yet?

I am a little excited and nervous for Mao, because it will be her first time testing out layout (with the changes made) before an international panel since the GP. Since her nationals layout was watered down, I think Mao will go for her full planned layout to get feedback. So I am really hoping she does well and get good feedback, cause it will be important for boosting her confidence for the Olympics

For those who are still wondering, the Japanese 4CC ladies' team have been altered to Mao, Akiko, and Haruka Imai. I must say I'm rather worried for CaroZ, since she's just had a subpar Nats and is having an off-season so far.

Looks like SBS and CCTV are the only stations that will broadcast the events live, or close to live, so we'll be relying heavily on TVAnts and TVU for streams. As usual, Japanese TV (this time it'll be Fuji TV) will be delayed until the weekend; Russian WebTV and IN will NOT be covering the event. I'm not sure about Skate Buzz, so I'll be grateful if the Canadian forum members can give us info!

Also, from what I can tell, Fuji TV will be the ONLY station broadcasting the men's competition.

For those of you who are in Canada or are willing to use proxy, CBC will be streaming 4CC live. Here's the figure skating schedule for the rest of the season:
