ETA: Taka's website is with the same update http://t-kozuka.com/blog/2012/01/post-e6a6.html this time...the wordings are exactly the same.. my answer is someone doing beilmann spin in ice show (?) or Mao of olympic?

The bielmann spin is my guess as well! (Looks like she's traveling a bit, though!)

What is going on here??! It was totally cute when Mao and Taka-chan would both post the same pictures on their respective blogs , but to post EXACTLY the same thing, with EXACTLY the same title--that's a little strange, no? Maybe they have the same webmaster, and he/she accidentally posted the same blog twice? Or maybe it's a not-so-subtle hint that they are always together--not just in physical presence but in mind and spirit and thinking! I vote for catch-blade twizzle at the Olympics.

I vote for catch-blade twizzle at the Olympics. ppl did say the webmaster was "being smart" and doing something unnecessary. both of us know the Japanese terms used by male and female are different. if the webmaster only got one article from either of them, he/she should only update one of their website. Mao and taka's fans will eventually see that whether which website was updated. The way he/she did that only brings more anti-taka issue on internet. I want to change my answer to Mao did biellmann in Olympics and Taka (and team Japan) was cheering for her. --> since there is the national flag of Japan on the top-left ETA: Mao's new CM http://www.sato-seiyaku.co.jp/newsrelease/2012/120118.html

| Finally, the answer was posted! Somehow the drawing reminds me of the game Battle Skating from iTunes. In the game, Mao can do 3 skating moves, namely triple axle, bielmann spin and ina bauer. Have you guys tried this game? I've tried it. It's actually quite fun! I haven't unlocked the stage where I can knock out the mean judges though | |

No news about Mao....Please board the plane soon Mao !!!! I was about to ask the same question! Yes 4CC start on the 7 th I hope as well, she'll board the plane soon, hopefully she's in great shape, because Colorado is like 6000ft above sea level , it can't be easy for skaters. I can't wait for the competition to start. Hopefully there'll be some news about Mao and her practice soon.

| Colorado is the state with the highest average altitude, and the Springs are over a mile above sea level - even higher than Denver (which is the Mile High City). I think the Springs are at around 6040 ft. | |

| Oh my gosh! I hope Mao will be able to adjust. My only question is, how does one train for high altitudes? | |

| Whenever the Naval Academy or West Point play the Air Force Academy, which is also in the Springs, they apparently do a bunch of ridiculous workouts for about two weeks prior to the competition to the point where a lot of their players - who are some of the most fit men and women in the nation, I might add, because it is NOT easy to get into any of the US military academies - feel sick to the point where they want to throw up. It's just about getting past your comfort level. | |

Yeah, I question the minds of the people that a) placed the headquarters of US Figure Skating there, b) placed the US Olympic Training Center there, and c) placed the World Arena there.

Though Lake Arrowhead isn't low either, 5100 feet. She was training there for almost 2 years so at least she has an idea what's it like to skate at such high altitude. Edit: shikure thanks for the clips. New CM is adorable!

| Cute pics and footage, shikure! We always can count on you for any Mao updates- thank you! My goodness, how I've missed Mao's skating! Good to know we'll get some meaty Mao exposure leading up to 4CC in a couple of days. I hope Mao gets there early enough to get used to the altitude too. And thanks for the tidbit about Lake Arrowhead, zarinaballerina! I really want Mao to do well! But that's a givern here, isn't it? Jeremy and Agnes trained there and all the American skaters have gone there for monitoring so they'll know what to expect. Of course, it is gonna be Patrick's training grounds, but I'm still wishing, more like desperately hoping that Daisuke and Jeremy have a 1-2 finish. | |
