If not, then it's so weird of doing that....but if it makes him feel more confident, then I guess it should be OK.

Yuzuru isn't Christian or Catholic. He makes a cross with his hands for some kind of ritual. Japanese commentators asked him about it and he said it was only a genkatsugi something about center of balance. I personally think he's copying some of his idols.

thanks for clarifying... i somehow knew that he is not christian/catholic.. and that hand movement is only a part of his routine for good luck or something... thanks again!! Smile

There are Japanese Christians and Catholics and such, but most Japanese are Shinto & Buddhists. Kids that wear crosses usually wear it for fashion.

i was already thinking that joubert would be held-up by the judges and his fs is not really bad.. well, yuzuru is still in contention for a medal..
