| Aww, Polosatik, what did you write? I can read summervie's post, but for some reason my browser has troubles displaying Russian letters in your post and shoes some weird cipher instead. BTW, bad news: I just read on FSU that BBC is skipping one week... They'll show Cup of Russia next week, and NHK in two weeks. I really wanted to hear Kurt's commentary soon... | |

| The CBC version is up at FSVids. A major disappointment. There was no Kurt! Tracy and Brenda at first were busy chatting, then one of them said said that Mao's program is all about triples and lacks connection to the music. She seemed a bit peeved that Mao switched from Lori to Tatiana... Uhm, hello? Lori choreographed two great programs for Mao this season... That aside, they praised Mao's lyrical quality and soft, bouncy knees, but there was really not much comments about the programs, just chatting about how Mao left Rafael and switched to TAT, and did not agree with her coaching method but didn't want to admit that, and how she finally admitted that after TEB and asked for more repetition and that worked... Somehow I got the feeling that they don't like TAT all that much. Through the entire Men's competition they were busy jinxing Patrick and repeating how he has the highest scores, and is the best and the one to beat... Uhm, pressure cooker much? Same with Joannie during the ladies competition... Actually, maybe Joannie and Patrick should sue the commentating ladies for jinxing them at GPF. Maybe the pressure was just too much... I loved the Men SP montage (still, I would prefer to actually see the SPs ) and it was nice to listen to the interviews... Poor Nobu, he said he was almost too nervous to compete. (Where's a hug icon when you need one?) ETA: Actually, is there a way to contact CBC commentators? After watching the rest of the broadcast, I have a few words I would like to share with them. | |

Thanks for the information, Okami! Gah... no Kurt... that's disappointing I'm usually not so excited with Tracy's comments. Like, she always says Mao has "soft bouncy knees" and I can't remember how many times she said that in the past commentaries. I wish she had other things to say about Mao's programs... This is not related with NHK, but I loved it when at Caro's commentary in SC, Kurt said this about the double deduction for UR jumps. "It's like getting in trouble from your mom, and then when your dad gets home and give it to you again." I hope he'll be back in GPF. I miss his humor and warm comments | |

| No Kurt!! I was so disappointed that I missed the broacast but you guys made me feel a bit better about it. It seems I didn't miss much... And I was so looking forward to listening to Kurt's praises. I never really noticed the others before, aside from the "soft bouncy knees" mantra but that's been branded in my mind by now, because I was totally in love with Kurt. I hope he was simply unavailable and will be back for the upcoming comps. Like the ES guys, he makes me enjoy everything I see, even when it's not perfect. Most of the others just make me cringe... In a perfect world, it'd be able to listen to the japanese broadcasts and understand clearly but I'm not there yet it seems. But expression-wise, I soooo love Midori Ito | |

| Hmm, well the CBC commentators really didn't care for Mao's LP much, did they? Pleaassee bring back Kurt! I think it was at Worlds 2008 when he said something like "Mao is Wow." Though I guess I do agree that Mao wasn't really connecting with the music - she was certainly off the beat in the beginning. But their lack of understanding of the importance of two triple axels, and one of them saying that Mao splits her time between Moscow and Tokyo - sigghhh. | |
