| As much as I am sad for Daisuke, I am glad for Johnny and especially Jeff. Thanks for the link, MaoNinja! *waiting for the Exhibition* | |

| What an unexpected result in Men's event. Jeff, next to Nobu, is my favourite skater, but I given up hope on him ever medalling again because of his injuries. However, not only did he medal, but WON the entire competition! Congrats, Jeff! So sad for Dai-chan, but the good news is that thanks to Takahiko's effort Japan keeps 3 spots! Getting back to the topic of Mao's performances again - finally someone uploaded the ESPN version, with Dick and Peggy commentating! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr13QOLNsVoThe quality of the video is very bad, but the commentary is easily heard, and one of my favourites. Both Peggy and Dick noticed things that were overlooked by other commentators; how much passion Mao given to the performance and that her lutz has gotten better (though it's still taken off the inside edge). I'm now going to search for a HQ version of this... | |

Thanks for the link, Oscilla! Still haven't watched the version with Kurt Browning and the medal ceremony (they say the most dim stars live the longest lives. If my internet connection were a star, it would work forever apparently =), but Dick and Peggy.. oh... *rearranges his YouTube downloads list* )

Gorgeous! Wowww!! That was beautiful!!! Do you guys think that she'll try it tomorrow, to show that she can do it? Maybe for the encore?! I think that's the kind of girl she is!

| It would be fun if Mao landed 3A! But I think that the fact that she failed to land it and still won was quite meaningful, too. I remember how Rafael said at Skate Canada this year: :You are wrong. Mao's weapon is not a 3A. Mao's weapon is her beauty". How right he was, considering that Mao won thanks to her PCS and GoEs! And here is Mao's LP with commentary by ESPN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRCM2rjuINYGreat, they praise Mao so much. They say other athlethes could learn from her performance a lot. And Uncle Dick adds that Mao is a true athlete and true champion. He also really praises Mao's jumps for their elegance and airy quality - as if she were suspended in the air... I really love that he mentioned that, because many people are concentrating on Mao's wrong edge on Lutz that they ignore that in all other aspects her jumps are exquisite. I'm so very sad that this is the last event covered by ESPN... I will miss Dick's and Peggy's commentating so much. I hope they will still be involved in the figure skating world, maybe doing commentary for some other station... It would be so sad not to hear them again. | |

| I, too, will miss Uncle Dick and Peggy. Uncle Dick could be somewhat harsh in his commentary at times, but if the skater had improved, he noticed it and praised them. He had great knowledge about figure skating, and could be really funny at times. I'll miss them both! | |

Amazing as always, though! And she had such an adorable hairdo... And 3Lz had AMAZING height. If Mao didn't fall, that would be the perfect EX program. The world just isn't ready yet. Daisuke also fell but otherwise was amazing. Jeff was fierce. Pang/Tong were Pang/Tong (tm) . Yu-na was lovely. Virtue/Moir gained themselves one more fan (me! me!). Yukari almost killed the commentators of R-Eurosport with her spins (doctors say the commentators are out of danger, smiling all the time and on all questions answer with the same strange frase: "Ooone moooore tuuurn!.." ). Oh... and they didn't have encores this time.

| exhibition was so beautiful and technically difficult too! 6 jumps in total! and her hair was cute too . On CBC they were saying how she was deciding on whether or not to skate because her leg was a bit sore from the fall but i'm so glad she decided to skate I also thought yu-na's new program was beautiful. | |

I will upload the finale as well, but I'll probably be asleep by the time the upload is ready (I'll just leave my laptop on), so please check for it here: https://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=oscillatingIt should be up in less than hour, I hope. Goodnight, everyone!

| Haven't posted in a while - I've been so busy this week over at FSU. But just wanted to say - YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY Mao-chan!!!!!! She was utterly brilliant. It's as though the last two seasons have led to this championships. To be able to deliver a clean SP under pressure and to never give up no matter what in the free. Our girl has learned some pretty big life lessons these last two years and she now seems much tougher mentally than she was in October. The way she came back after the horrific fall. Seriously that will go down in skating history - the kind of thing they talk about in documentaries 30 years from now. Wonderful stuff. Also just wanted to add that along with the Eurosport guys, BBC in the UK showed Worlds this year for the first time in ages and Robin Cousins who is our expert was absolutely bowled over by her. Loves everything about her!!!! Just thought you'd all like to know | |

| Mao was wonderful as always!! She's like an angel while skating! I didn't know her leg still hurting, I hope she recover fast! I'm a little bit sad that there were no encores!!! and that the season is already over...I think I'm gonna cry! | |
