After yesterday men FS, I want Mao to skate to Taka's FS
I remember a lot of ppl want Mao skates to that music piece but Taka uses this for this season.
He did great arrangement of the music and I feel the music style also fit Mao well.

I'm not sure about that particular piece, but it would be SOO awesome if Mao skated to Joe Hisaishi music/music from the Miyazaki animes!!!

But I totally think that Taka-chan's music suits him very well. While watching his FS, I thought, you know, he's probably never going to be a great showman like Dai, so he really should play up his "prince-like"/elegant side. I was really impressed by Taka-chan's almost ballet-like arms.

i want mao to skate to this music.. though it might sound a bit boring at first.. but for me it will suit mao's lightness/ethereal skating..

it would be a dream for me to see mao skate to music from echochrome. the echochrome soundtrack is the most amazing piece of art i've ever encountered in my life. if you haven't listened to music from the echo series (echochrome, echochrome ii, echoshift) i suggest taking a listen on youtube! the pieces are so moving and emotional.

Pochinko, I have the exactly the same thoughts with you, except that I don't know about that Japanese films. The Ennio Morriccone film scores played by Yo-Yo Ma is brilliant and all of the pieces (The Mission, Legend of 1900, The Good The Bad and the Ugly etc) can be chorographed into a beautiful program to sell.
I also think that Lars Von Trier has a really good taste in film scores. I'd love to see Mao bring out more diversity in her programs so I don't mind darkness at all.
Air by Bach may be an overused piece but recently I listened to it as the theme song for a video about the Austrian-Hungary Empire and I felt so nostalgic and almost cried. In fact, most of Bach music is great material for skating program.
If Mao wants to bring the softness back, then I dream of Saint-Saens concertos. His compositions are always harmonious without verging on the sentimental side.

O Mio Babbino Caro would be BEAUTIFUL!! I kind of hope she saves that for until after words are allowed, though... it's so beautiful with the right voice.

A lot of people mentioned Joe Hisaishi... I just watched Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro, and now I want to see Mao skate to Hisaishi's Totoro theme! Like Ms. Nichol, I want Mao to skate to something that would make her feel joy and happiness in her skating just like in her "I got rhythm" SP for 2012-2013 season. Heck, I want her to skate to a compilation of Hisaishi music!

I love this piano concerto from Rachmaninoff, but this piece of music has been skated to death, so I would (personally) prefer if Mao and her team choose something else for Oly's.

That medley is my dream. Otherwise, music by Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Max Richter are all wonderful and they haven't been skated to death.
