polosatik, thank you for putting it so nicely. My innitial response upon reading flittermous' post wasn't so nice.

To flittermouse; I don't know what your problem is, but if you'd actually bothered to read our posts regarding Miki and her situtation, you would see that NONE of us had ever insulted Miki or bashed her. We do care about her, it's why we were a bit upset, thinking that Morozov might be the father. It is her life and her decisions that's true, however this is a forum where forum members express their opinions, in a respectful way of course (something that YOU failed to do), none of us is telling how Miki should live her life, we're simply commenting on her situation, which by the way was made public by Miki herself.
So welcome to the forum, however if you can't cope with other members having a different opinion than yourself, this might not be the right place for you.

IMO, Miki isn't going to Sochi. For her to qualify, she'll have to have a skate of her life at Nationals, otherwise the Japanese fans are going to be furious. Especially if you consider how she got her 2006 place on the Oly's team. That was one giant crap that JSF pulled. 

However if she does go, than I hope it'll be because she earned her place, not because of her sponsors or other influence. 

I dont know what really happen to her to get the 2006 spot, since i wasnt into skating that time. I just know it wasnt fair and it was about Yukari? but still i really hope her the best

She placed 6th and was still sent to Torino, despite Yukari who placed above her and was completely healthy. Some say it was because of her very prominent sponsors. We all know what happened at Oly's. 

I hope that those three will get to go, who really skate the best at Nats and have great international competitions (gp or B intl). And I'll cheer my butt off, for all 4 of them. 

Either way, my heart is going to be broken for both men and women. So many candidates and only 3 spots available.

I wish all the best to her little family. Her performances at Artistry on Ice were amazing. Unbelievable that her posture and expression are even more graceful and genuine after becoming a mother.

I'm not familiar with Japanese law, but isn't this libel? Is it possible to sue the tabloid for this? I mean I'm all for freedom of speech, but this is too much. If this happened in western world, this tabloid would be sued for everything it's worth.

But u know what..Miki is a brave woman, yes, I am sure a lot of people told her to retire and to give up after discovering her pregnancy, but she refused, she refused to give up on her kid and refused to give up on her career. She didn't talk about the title of the songs yet. But from the text posted on FB, it seems that her LP is using the same song from one of her past LP programs (can someone confirm this part? thanks!)

based on twitter report, yes, the FP will be from her old programs and ppl guess that should be firebird, which fits her situation now very well.
In the conference, she said she just received answer "no" from one of coaches she approached. somewhere in one of news article or somewhere she said she can land three kinds of triples now.(sorry, i have no time for finding sources)

After being quiet for sometime, J-media is again writing about MIki due to the press-conference that she organized a couple of days ago. Journalists thought that she might probably had been planning to make an anouncement about her baby's father. But she showed up with a lawyer and asked media to leave her alone, don't stalk her and said that she won't tell the daddy's name. Or asking to leave someone alone when the said someone keeps giving the reasons to do the opposite. They basically say that Miki's baby is being used for advertising purposes.

This week's "Weekly Shincho", which is not a tabloid, http://twitpic.com/d6zogh writes that Miki has been in relationships with Nanri for a while, the pregnancy was clearly not a planned one and changed a lot of plans in Miki's career. Plus she didn't take part in GP series two seasons ago when she could. This made JSF removed her name from their list and now under the circumstances it will be difficult for her to fight for the spot in Team. Having Nanri as a father of a child doesn't look preferable because he is not a figure skating celebrity and doesn't mean much in JSF books. Therefore, the whole story was presented that someone else is or might be the father, and the fact that Miki was in contact with her ex-boyfriend Morozov last summer, turned out to be very convenient. At the same time the paparazzi's mag "Friday" earlier asked Nanri if he is the father, on which he answered that no, he is not the father. This answer made Miki's mom furious and she said that he should have said "No comment" and nothing else. Nanri's side of the story is that he is not a celebrity, he is not accustomed to such interviews, so he just said what he said.

^ this whole thing is one big mess. I really feel sorry for everyone involved. The baby's father is nobody business but Miki's and her familiy's. If she wants to reveal the fathers identity she will, until she does so, she should be left alone.

Though on Miki's part, I wish she'd hire a PR consultant, she isn't doing herself any favours at the moment, IMO.
I really hope this whole mess won't affect her training and her time with her baby. I wish her all the success this coming season. May the best three go to Sochi.
