I'm on (involuntary) Mao withdrawal, I need more Mao clips on daily basis.  

Could someone please summarize what she was saying in the video that roma posted. How I wish I understood japanese.

Mao says:

With constant practice, she wants her performances to be close to
perfection preferably at around Japanese Nationals
and book a ticket to the Olympics first.

Her desire to gold medal (now) is not that strong compare to
the Vancouver Olympics season.
Of course it would be great if she can get it, but
bringing out all what she has been doing during the past four years
is her primary focus.

I guess she is in good mental condition.

I remember Mao saying some months ago that
she is looking forward to Sochi Olympics very much and
she feels she can say so because she has been focusing on
the basics for the past three years.

I am glad to know that she is satisfied with the way she
chose after Vancouver.

I love how she thinks, being close to perfection at Nats (and perfect at Olys   ). She is in good mental condition, indeed. 

And I absolutely love how she doesn't put winning olympic gold as her primary focus, but instead wants to bring two "perfect" performances. Whatever happens in Sochi, if she'll be able to do what she set out to do, then even if she won't win, she'll have no regrets. Afterall, the scoring is in the judges hands.

Mao in Kimono!

Oh, this kimono is simply stunning.  Does anyone know how much does a kimono like this one costs? it must be expensive.

Yes, I read it somewhere else...I guess it should be from MaoMao line. And if I understood it correctly, Mao also "designs" for the kimono herself (here it means she picks the patterns on the kimono herself). It's very elegant and gorgeous!

The story behind the girl violinist is very touching...actually, the SP program by Dai this season, the "Sonatina" by M. Samuragochi, was originally dedicated to this girl violinist.

So touching, I have so much admiration for the people with disability, who refuse to let it run their lives and instead take charge and live their lives to it's full potential. It's why I love paralympic games, so much inspiration. I hope this little girl will have a fantastic life with lot of success.

I truely agree with you, ballerinamao. Mao is unbelievably shining.
She is still moderate and natural in gold dress.
I definitely buy this magazine.

I thought MaoMao was specifically a kimono brand, but I had no idea she's added a ton of other items like hair accessories, stuffed animals, sports towels, and even mobile phone straps.

The girl has good taste.

I don't really know where to put it but in The Skating Lesson's newest interview with Jeff Buttle, they're talking about Mao a bit. And Jeff says Mao is "super sweet","dedicated" and "there's not a mean bone in her body"    
He also talks about Liza and that she is really smart and picks up the steps incredibly fast when he's choreographing for her. He also was surprised because he thought she is only a jumping bean...

I wish I had more time to follow fs news, now because of work it's a bit difficult, but I'm trying to follow all your comments guys I LOVe Mao's choice of music, especially SP   I hope she will skate them clean during the olympics. Will she skate in Japan Open this year?
