| Hi skating_fanatic! Here's the link to Miki's performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRwsSzeI70cInteresting costume [reminds me of Yuna's Danse Macabre and Mao's Masquerade costume(the black one)], interesting program. Not my favorite perforamnce and costume, but I'm glad Miki's okay and hanging in there. She did a 3sal, 2axel, 2 camel-sit-i spins, and awesome steps. I wonder if she's going to make a short program out of this? Sasha Cohen, Joannie Rochette, and Shizuka Arakawa performed too, and it said that the performance date was December 3 [near the GPF]. | |

she looks great and very happy during the whole season off I watched some of vids of shows she attended, and feel if she can skate her competition programs as show programs, she will become stronger than ever.

| Wow, Miki looks lovely in the fashion show! Star85, I agree. She looks like a princess with the tiara and all, just like what her name 美姫 (beautiful princess) means | |

| reborn garden http://reborn-garden.com/performances.htmlpls stop in the page and the youtube vid will show up ~ I know that can redirect to youtube but let me follow the rule there you can see Yukari lose balance in spin which was very rare but the way she grabbed her blade into donut spin is still amazing. pls look at Miki's face from 35:30 the guy paired with her is Yasuharu Nanri. her smile is kirakira around him | |

| Thank you, shikure, for this forum member privilege. I saw Stephane Lambiel and Johnny Weir. Do you imply anything between Miki and Yasuharu Nanri? | |

I think that is related to GPS assignment thing. I saw that ISU required skaters to sign declaration for GPS participation. she talked something similar when she announced she skipped 2011~2012 season. she thought she wants to have life as a woman and not only a life as a skater. her original plan is submit the participation form for GPS then if she feels not so right when she is doing her short-program, she may still withdrawal from the assignment. but now sounds like ISU wants to kidnap all skaters and don't let them withdraw from competitions.--> they should just change the headcount of participants from 10 back to 12. In addition, based on 2012~2013 schedule, there is a competition called "Medal Winners Open" as of October 5, 2012. That is invitation only event and Miki may get some pressure from ISU and JSF for participate some of competitions. hope she will feel better soon.

I don't see why a skater couldn't apply for GP and then in september or in the beginning of october withdraw from GP, if he/she sees that technical elements aren't ready yet. As long as it's done in advance so there's enough time to sent an alternate, I don't see what the big deal is. NO ONE wants to see a champion strugling out there, well at least I don't. I agree, reducing the numbers of participants to 10 was bad, and then allowing top 6 to skate at 3 gp's is unfair toward the rest of the skaters. Some can't even get 1 invite and others are allowed to do 3?! It's ridculous. Is Medal Winners open former Japan Open?

| So are the skaters under some kind of contract with the ISU and/or their respective national federations? Otherwise, I don't see how they can be forced to compete if they don't want to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's one day before Japan Open?? That's strange. And if they are going to have any of the same skaters compete, that's more than strange. That's ridiculous.

Returning to competitive skating must be really, really heavy on Miki's part. Just read her recent tweets, as well as, Daisuke Murakami's replies on twitter. She sounds so lost...
